Well if you ask me, itās all in the details. This is an adorable (in my view) house warming gift. Made from salvaged roof shingles, this porch sign screams new beginnings, warmth and happiness.
Because at the end of the dayā¦what makes a house a home but the beautiful moments that we live in?

As I was dusting off my brushes this weeked, I felt inspired by one of my favorite painters, Vicki Sawyer, so I worked on what I consider to be the perfect family reunion, wouldnāt you agree?

This is a beachy yet classy table. Soothing colors and simple understated design with a beautiful finish to keep that summer feeling inside no matter the weather outside. Oh and those drawer pullsā¦ natural agates which were worth the investment. Bonus track? Agate healing properties include giving a sense of calm and bringing balance to mind, body, and soulā¦

Does the shoemaker always wear the worst shoes? āŗļø Well, judge by yourself š
I had this dining table at home for a while but it needed a change.
Finally I got myself around doing something with it. I wanted a simple shabby chic look that would feel fresh. I think this contemporary charcoal color does the trick; the simple stenciled motives keep it playful, and the final touch?? Dry brushing with a white wax finish for the ultimate character.
The bonus? This technique will hide all the wood imperfections and it is super forgiving for a daily-use-table.

This side table had so much personality, that I went back and forth -I donāt how many times- trying to come up with a design that would not shy away from the quirkiness of the piece.
And almost like in a dreamā¦I āsaw itā!!!
I attribute the result to the fairiesā doingā¦the rich teal blue is the perfect backdrop for the hand-painted crane, which conjures up so much joy and peace. š
The white wax finish is a tribute to the passing of time in all its glory.
Fairytales do come true. š³š¦š§āāļø

Time to be outdoors and celebrate the elusive Pacific Northwest summer with friends.
Pilar sent me the inspiration idea š”š, which I decided to replicate for her as a belated birthday gift.
We could not have found a better spot, now off to decorate!! I am in line already to get some fairy lights which will create the perfect mood to enjoy many more summer nights at the patio.š
